Okay, let’s get serious. All I can say to those puffer marshmallow-esque coats that we all must admit to having worn at least once in our lives in the winter, is UGH. Now I would rather layer to stay warm, thank you very much. I have this strong aversion to Northface. What was that created for again? Camping? I actually bought a DKNY puffer a few years ago with a furry hood, ended up looking like an eskimo. Don’t think I’ll be wearing that one much unless I am desperate. What looks great (well, in my honest opinion) are peacoats and trench coats. They look sophisticated, not juvenile. Even leather jackets fair well. The one thing to keep in mind when buying a coat or jacket is to feel comfortable! I made the mistake of buying a yellow peacoat that was too structured.
